About

Olga Ostrovskiy

Olga Ostrovskiy is the founder of My Storyland, an app that turns a novel into a walkable trip through the places behind it. She started it in November 2025 as a capstone for Google's five-day AI Agents Intensive on Kaggle; it placed third in the freestyle track among thousands of entries and became a product. Most of the company is run by a team of AI agents she built; her part is choosing what to build and checking whether it is good. She spoke at DevFest DC 2026 on building and evaluating the multi-agent system behind My Storyland. She likes helping people put AI to work, from engineers shipping agents to friends who use ChatGPT as a search engine: how to bring it into the work you already do, and how to check it did what you asked. On a girls' trip to Africa she ended up giving an evening's introduction to AI to psychologists, entrepreneurs and auditors, and liked that part best. By day she is a Tech Lead at AstraZeneca, building AI platforms for drug discovery: systems that connect modern web applications, scientific workflows, and high-performance computing pipelines, and the engineering team that builds them. She lives near Washington, DC, and writes short notes about what she ships, what she measured, and the occasional thing that did not work.

Chat is not an interface. A button and a map beat a chat box.
